2015 Presidential Election: Jonathan Picks Form, Pledges to Redouble Efforts

 Commends PDP Governors’ Forum, TAN, students, market women for donating towards purchase of presidential form
 PDP offers performing governors seeking second term right of first refusal

The National Organsing Secretary of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha, at exactly 2.20pm handed over the Presidential Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms to President Goodluck Jonathan as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the February 14 2015 Presidential Election.

Also, PDP extended automatic ticket or right of first refusals to its governors seeking second terms in office that have performed. The PDP governors seeking second terms in office are those of Bayelsa, Gombe and Kaduna states.

Accepting the Presidential Nomination and Expression of Interest, President Jonathan said that he would have still picked his presidential nomination form if he was not given an automatic presidential ticket by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party.

According to him, “First, let me thank God for today, and thank Nigerians that were here today for this brief ceremony. Let me thank the leadership of our party and all members of our party for believing in me and for giving me the right of first refusal.
